A personal story from our Director, Eclectic Witch and practising Pagan, Vici Boyd.

Hello! Let me share a little about myself and the inspiration behind Magickal Moments.

I have always felt a deep connection to the mystical, with a belief that there is so much more to life than what we can see and touch. My interest in Paganism began in my early twenties, when I was drawn to ancient traditions, spellcraft, rituals and the spiritual connection between ourselves and the natural world.

After leaving school, I trained as a hairdresser, but following the birth of my daughter in 2000, I felt a calling to do something more meaningful — something that could help and support others. This marked the beginning of my journey into holistic therapy.

In 2001, I trained as a holistic therapist, exploring massage, aromatherapy and other complementary therapies. Through this, I discovered the world of crystals, Reiki, meditation, chakras and grounding techniques, deepening my interest in spiritual wellbeing and personal development. Over the years, I continued to explore and develop my knowledge of the Craft, following my own eclectic Pagan path.

In 2004, I channelled my passion into establishing my own hair, beauty and holistic therapy business. It was a rewarding chapter of my life, although eventually health challenges meant I needed to take a different direction.

During the pandemic, I found myself with the time and space to focus more deeply on my spiritual path. I dedicated myself to learning, exploring witchcraft more fully and discovering how I could bring together my experiences, knowledge and lifelong fascination with the mystical.

In 2022, everything began to fall into place. I started creating my own witchy wares, sharing my creations at farmers’ markets and local fairs before expanding into crystals and other mystical treasures at events across Sussex. And so, Magickal Moments was born!

What began as a personal passion gradually grew into something much bigger. In 2025, Magickal Moments became a limited company, marking an exciting new chapter in my journey.

Today, I am proud to bring Magickal Moments to the heart of historic Broadwater village, Worthing. My journey as a witch is one of continual learning, discovery and connection with nature, and I look forward to sharing a little of that world with everyone who walks through our door.
